Silence

So as this week comes to a close I can honestly say that the first week of being settled in a new home is boring. It went from being so hectic you could claw your eyes out over the insanity, to complete and utter boredom. There is the occasional dish to do. Maybe you need to vacuum a little just to say you are doing something productive. Making dinner has gone from a pleasure to just an everyday chore. Homework, well it's done. Even my online classes. Thanks for nothing school. Photography, unfortunately, is a no go because of my shoulder. Oh, how I miss the feel of a Nikon in my hands. I am not being mentally challenged at all. I don't even have background noise of screaming children or the everyday life sounds of a busy household. The quiet was nice until it became a constant and there is only so far blasting music can take you. People come and see what I am up to now and again and I go out every once in a while but most of the time my life is enveloped in silence. However, I can't complain because this is what I've been asking for, for years. Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it.

A Dose of Insanity

Well to start things off, I've moved. I no longer live under my parents roof, which in some ways is majorly awesome and in other ways it is a major buzz kill. But it's a part of growing up and I am thrilled to be taking this next step in my life. Along with the move came a lot of emotions and many mood swings. Some good, some not so grand. However, I am truly blessed to be accompanied on this little adventure with my dear, dear friend Chani Cottam. Kudos to her for putting up with me thus far.
And to add to irritation I kind of hurt myself in the process of moving. I really shouldn't have expected any less from myself.
Also, among other things, there has been countless episodes of drama. Don't you just love people? Sometimes I think I'd rather pass on that second helping of drama.
Here's to another week and another round of relentless life experiences. Cheers.

New Beginnings of A New Year

I was hoping for brand new beginnings for the new year, but as of so far it's same old crap, different day. Different year. Homework, drama, family issues, ect. I survived the second term of my last year in high school. Which is a bonus. I started third term at a sprint only to realize how much I really hate school. However, as much as I hate school, I am fighting tooth and nail to get my priorities straight so I can continue on to get a higher education. Yesterday in Financial Lit we made a collage of our dream lives. My friend thinks I am crazy and I know I am but I wonder if maybe she has a point. What I want for my life is nothing like the hopes and dreams of the typical Utah Mormon but they are none the less dreams. So please, tread lightly, don't crush my dreams.

Not with a fizzle but with a BANG

It's New Years Eve and I can not tell you how much I love New Years. It represents everything that I constantly strive to find everday in life; New beginnings, moving forward, and starting over. I accomplished a lot in 2010 and I am looking to 2011, hopeful. 2011 means graduation, college, moving out, and starting a life I have strived my whole life trying to prepare for, especially these last few years. I hope to accomplish a lot this coming year. Here's to another year, may 2011 be a kind, swift, and smooth journey. Stay golden.

Also, here is to my 50th post! May 2011 bring many more fresh ideas!

Christmas Blues

I was thrilled for Christmas just a few weeks ago but now the holiday blues have hit. Hit hard. I am trying to remedy it because I really want to have a great Christmas this year. I miss being a kid. Mikey and Rachel are just so excited. I miss that. I mean Christmas has always been kinda harsh for me but as a kid I could always look forward to the presents, food, and snow. Anyways, so I am trying to muster up all this Christmas spirit and I am falling short. However, the snowfall is helping. It helps get me in the mood because I love snow over the holidays. I am just adoring this snowfall. There is nothing more that I love when it comes to Christmas than watching the snow fall while I am inside, warm and cozy, listening to Christmas music. I almost feel a calm sense of serenity. I need more calm in my life. So, please, LET IT SNOW! I understand that there are trapped travelers and whatnot but they are already stuck inside anyways... And even if there is no more snow that is willing to let fall to the ground... Please just leave the snow we have so bountifully recieved stay just until midnight on Saturday. Just let the temperatures stay low though they are due to skyrocket back up to forty. Temps only need to be 8 degrees less than that to keep the snow around. Pretty please?! This is Christmas in Utah afterall! If I have to deal with the snow through March then I think Mother Nature can spare us what we've got!

Karma Ran Over My Dogma

I am a strong believer in KARMA. If you put good out in the world the world will treat you well. To you, yes, you. The one who believes that they are so much better than everyone else. Yes, you know who you are. The next time you feel the need to invite me to leave the room and/or make rude comments about my friends, leaders, family, me, or our attire or any other crap for that matter... Please for the sake of all of us... Please just stuff it. Oh and please stop rolling your eyes at the world... I am worried that one day you'll just roll them out of their sockets. Someday karma will come back to bite you and the world really will put you in your place and I sure as heck hope I am there to watch. What a show that will be! I'll bring the popcorn if someone will bring the pop!!! Where does the good go?
