Hell Hath No Fury Than A Woman Scorned.
I thought I would share this not only cause it made me laugh but because it brings a valid point to the table. Show us respect. If you don't, we as women, will find someone else that will. Don't treat us as your doormats.
As a friend, also, treat us with respect. This applies for both genders. Don't be backstabbing. Be loyal.
Last of all, show respect to you and yourself. People around you can tell if you show little or no respect for yourself. Grow a spine. Have some dignity and pride and carry yourself in a way that you can be proud of.

Life Happens.
As always I've been playing with my hair and this time around it didn't quite go as planned but it turned out pretty well after we touched it up and pulled the look together. Talk about a happy accident. Other than that and the regular high school drama life has been quiet which is just the way I like it.
The countdown to the end of my junior year is just around the corner. I only pray that it will come just a little faster. I have so much to look forward to.
That's all that I can think of for right now... Bren over and out! :)

...And today was a day just like any other.

o spend with the kid brother and sister today. I was listening to Elvis' song, Burnin Love when Rachel came into my room and told me in quite the matter of fact tone "Bren, I'm just a hunka hunka burning love!" I died laughing. Ah... These kids kill me somedays.
utcome! Happy Birthday Corrin. You're truely an angel. Save a spot for me in heaven.

I Can't Brain Today, I Have The Dumb.
Yesterday was the day I got my wisdom teeth out. All went well. Healing seems to be coming along just fine. I couldn't have asked for a better dentist. I'm still a bit sore but the pain meds compensate for that. It also expains how dumb I've gotten. Thanks to great family and friends recovery seems to be more bearable. Thank you all for all the visits, whether I remember you visiting or not. You are all so great! I am so blessed to have you all as family and friends! And thank you all for putting up with my random, seemingly drunk, phone calls.
Here's to a comfortable, speedy recovery!

There Is Only One Reason to Appreciate a Windy Day... Kite Flying.
By about 12:00 o'clock I was ready to be productive so I offered to take Mikey to the park and teach him how to fly the kite he got in his Easter basket yesterday. Of course, Ray is attached to Mikey at the hip so she ended up tagging along. So we packed a lunch and off to the park we went!
I got the kite up for Mikey first attempt and after Mikey had held it for about 5 mins he had had enough so he proceeded to hand it back to me to hold until he was done eating and wanted it back. He never wanted it back. I ended up holding it the whole time. It didn't take long for me to get bored of it so I shoved it in my pocket and hung myself upside down on the monkey bars, all while flying a kite right out of my pocket. Epic? I think so.

Can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store for me!

25 + 5 things you may or may not know about me.
3. I love babies and little kids.
4. I was raised by an Australian.
5.I am very influenced by music. Music is the one thing that can manipulate me.
6. I love Alice in Wonderland; book, movie, remake movies, corny t.v. shows, you name it.
7. I hate hate hate being ignored. It's one of my biggest pet peeves.
8. If I were to be any number of the 7 Deadly Sins, I would be jealousy. I tend to get overly jealous of silly things.
9. I love watching sports but prefer to stay on the sidelines when it comes to actually playing.
10. I am not very fond of animals. I like big dogs but I have taken to not liking animals very much as I continue to grow up.
11. Despite the fact that I go to Timpanogos I am still a Bruin at heart.
12. One of my lifelong dreams has been to go into cosmetology.
13. Math is the worst. Can't do it if my life depended upon it. Math will be the death of me, I am sure of it.
14. I love art in almost every form of the word. I sculpt, I draw, I paint, I play, I shoot.
15. I am probably one of the pickiest eaters you will ever meet.
16. I hate spit. Can't handle the stuff. It's nasty.
17. Confrontation scares me to death. Arguments, yelling, fighting.... Can't stand it.
20. I love all music except metal. Can't find one good thing about it.
21. When I wake up and before I go to bed I have to follow my routine to a T or else I get annoyed.
22. Every person is tagged with a song in my head.
23. I like to dissect dead things for the purpose of learning. My second dream job would be something in the medical field.
24. I am big on boundaries. I believe in personal space and "bubbles".
25. Sleep is hard to come by for me. It makes sense when you consider how confused I always am. Can't keep up with everything going on when I have such an enormous sleep debt.
26. I really don't mind listening to Justin Bieber but I think the world would be better without the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus.
27. I tend to be overly protective of people I love.
28. I love playing pranks. It can either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how I feel about you.
29. I am technologically handicapped.
30. ColorFest is the best thing in the world according to me. I want to get married on the same day as ColorFest so I can go in my wedding dress. I also want to die while at ColorFest and then be crowd surfed into my coffin. :) hahahaha!
Easter Happenings
It's Easter morning here in Utah. Taking it super slow waking up this morning and even slower getting up. I go through my daily morning routine and I make a list of things that have to be accomplished. I go back to my room and open the blinds to throw open my window because the furnace has been in overdrive all night leaving me feeling like I have been cooked alive. As I throw open the windows I am caught off gaurd by the 3 feet of snow covering me yard. It has "Happy Easter, Yours Truely, Utah." written all over it. Gotta love Utah weather, changes as quick and as drastically as a menopausal woman's mood.
I hope all your Easter Sundays have been great. Love you all and I wish you a very Happy Easter!Saturday, April 3, 2010
Springtime!
I have started many blogs, spent time and energy investing myself into writing them, and then I would delete them after a few weeks of trying to keep up with it. I am resolving to follow in, my good friend, Michael's footsteps. I will attempt to keep up with it as well as I have watched my friends and family so diligently do.As of right now I am listening to General Conference while I am writing this. Sustaining of the presidencies has always been my favorite. It's an awesome feeling taking part in the Lord's work. Still strange to me not having President Gordon B. Hinckley's talks anymore. It's going to take a lot of time to get used to. http://www.lds.org/broadcast/gc/0,5161,9080,00.html
Easter weekend is here and the Easter buns are in the oven. It's a tradition of my mother's to bake Hot Cross Buns every Easter. It's a tradition I never quite understood seeing as we are not Catholic.
Spring Break has finally come and my week is packed with interesting appointments and events. Again.... the extraction of the wisdom teeth have been pushed back... again. This next week will also predict how the rest of my summer will go. We shall s
ee. Festival of Colors has come and gone, unfortunately. Had an AMAZING time this year thanks to some fabulous company. The countdown till next years has begun. :)
Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. The sun comes out, the flowers bloom, and the birds begin to sing again. Take time to appreciate this time of year and remember the real reason we celebrate Easter. Have a Wonderful Easter Weekend Everybody!
Happy Easter! Happy Spring!
